I want to die, to live in your memory

Are we able to decide when we died? The first that I think when I hear the word euthanasia is freedom, because Euthanasia is when someone decides to end their lives voluntarily, because they have a terminal illness and think that their life is no longer worth living.

I never hear a famous cases of euthanasia, but I remember a movie that portrays very well this topic: “Mar Adentro”. The film is the life story of Spaniard Ramón Sampedro, who fought a 29-years campaign to win the right to end his own life with dignity.

I don`t have any religion, but in my country the act of Euthanasia is illegal, even if a very illnes person (part of the family or friend) requesting assistence in dying, and the helper is acting from the most noble reasson, any form of euthanasia remains a crime in Chile

In my personal opinion, I think that this issue very delicate, but I think we should respect people`s wishes, we should let people end their life even when we love them…

I travel just to travel.

“Decide how you want to feel, and go wherever it takes to feel that way”. Because of that I want to go to Brazil.
Even when I have never go to Brazil, I think this country have a perfect combination of placer and culture. As I now, I can`t go to every places of Brazil like I want, so if I have to choose one place or city, probably I will chose Rio.
And, if I can visit Rio whenever I want, I will choose see it during the carnival, of course. I know Rio have beautiful beaches, and also a lot of museums that I like to see, and of course, even when I’m not catholic, I don`t forget that there is the well-know Christ the Redeemer, the giant Jesus status that is now one of the seven wonder of the world.
I`m not sure I would like to study, work, live or just vacation in Rio, but I hope I discovered that when I will visit Rio.

"Amor de papá"

Hi, today I have to write about any issue I want. So I going to talk about “amor de papá” an organization of genereally dads, their objective is fight for rights of all the child in Chile and protect them for parental alination. I choose to talk about it, becouse yesterday I interviewed one member of “amor de papá” and was very intesting, also strong because he talk to me his story.

Parental alination is a social dynamic, generally occurring due to divorce or separation, when a child expresses unjustified hatred or unreasonably strong dislike of one parent, making access by the rejected parent difficult or impossible. These feelings may be influenced by negative comments by the other parent and by the characteristics, such as lack of empathy and warmth, of the rejected parent. The term does not apply in cases of actual child abuse, when the child rejects the abusing parent to protect themselves. Parental alienation is controversial in legal and mental health professions, both generally and in specific situations. Realistic estrangement is a different phenomenon from "pathological alienation". The former is an understandable refusal by a child to see an abusive parent, while the latter is emotionally harmful and unjustified

Well this organization have a main objective: get to chance the article 225 of civil code to finish with abuse suffered by children and finish dads discrmination by family courts. Also they keep an eye on family court not to continue sheltering disfuntional mather.

I belive that this issue isn`t very commented at least in Chile, and therefor is so important started to talk about it.

I hope that this has concerned and if yo want more information about “amor de papá” you can click on here: http://www.amordepapa.org/

One of my favourite picture

Hello, today I must to write about my favourite picture, but I think that is really dificult just pick one photo so I will talk to you about ONE OF my favourite picture.

The photography is called "The Shelter" and it`was taken by Jan Saudek who published this picture on 1963. I think that is important to see an appreciate the fhoto Knwo a little bit of the biography of Jean Saudek. So,
Saudek's father was a Jew and the family was therefore persecuted by Germans. Many of his family members died in the Theresienstadt concentration camp during Worl War II. Jan and his brother Karel were held in a children's concentration camp. He survived the war and according to his own biography got his first camera Kodak baby browniein 1950. And we can say that since this moment he started to take amazimg photos. Saudek currently lives and works in Prague.

Anyway, back to the main topic, I can say that this picture show a man`s hand involving a chlid hand. The man hand is dirty and I read that the meaning of that is that this photographer search to represent the War throught this.

I really like this photo, I think that is an amazing image, such strength and love, such vulnerability...

I was lucky to see this picture hanging on a wall, in an exhibition in Prague, and when I saw all the photos of this photographer I felt a little sad 'cause a lot of them show the war, but this particular picture I think that show "the hope".

Well, that`s all, here is the picture, I hope that you like it too.

An important personage in my field

Today I´m going to talk to you about an important personage in my field, cause is the topic of the third blog in my english class. So, for this topic I choose writte about Sigmund Freud, a really important personage for everyone who is interesing in psycology.

Sigmund Freud was born on May 6, 1856, in Freiberg. He founded the discipline of psychoanalysis, and is just because that I choose to talk about him, cause I think that without psychoanalysis (beyon that we agree with that) , psycology would not be what is today.

Freud is best known for his theories of the unconscious mind and the mechanism of repression, and for creating the clinical method of psychoanalysis for investigating the mind and treating psychopathology through dialogue between a patient (or "analysand") and a psychoanalyst.

The psychoanalysis theory contribute to the history, interpretation and critique of culture.

Well that´s all for today I hope that you enjoy redding this blog and this has been encouraged to find out more about Freud.

Bye....

always making a good impression

Yesterday I saw an old Woody Allen movie, I told you this 'cause the movie make me think about our society.
The title is "Zelig" and is a mock documentary (is a type of film in wicht fictitious events are presented in documentary format) about a man with the ability to transform himself to resemble anyone he's near.
This man called Zelig is like a chameleon, and the explain to that is very phychological: he make that 'couse he is afraid to doesn`t feet into any groups of people, so this afraid make him acting like this, is a kind of somatization of him symptoms.
Well, all this make me thing about the requirements of our society, 'couse in this world, we have to feet, and if we haven`t we are freak.
So, what are you think about that??
