One of my favourite picture

Hello, today I must to write about my favourite picture, but I think that is really dificult just pick one photo so I will talk to you about ONE OF my favourite picture.

The photography is called "The Shelter" and it`was taken by Jan Saudek who published this picture on 1963. I think that is important to see an appreciate the fhoto Knwo a little bit of the biography of Jean Saudek. So,
Saudek's father was a Jew and the family was therefore persecuted by Germans. Many of his family members died in the Theresienstadt concentration camp during Worl War II. Jan and his brother Karel were held in a children's concentration camp. He survived the war and according to his own biography got his first camera Kodak baby browniein 1950. And we can say that since this moment he started to take amazimg photos. Saudek currently lives and works in Prague.

Anyway, back to the main topic, I can say that this picture show a man`s hand involving a chlid hand. The man hand is dirty and I read that the meaning of that is that this photographer search to represent the War throught this.

I really like this photo, I think that is an amazing image, such strength and love, such vulnerability...

I was lucky to see this picture hanging on a wall, in an exhibition in Prague, and when I saw all the photos of this photographer I felt a little sad 'cause a lot of them show the war, but this particular picture I think that show "the hope".

Well, that`s all, here is the picture, I hope that you like it too.

  1. The picture was a sad history but the picture is beautiful and shows an interesting part of concentration camp. A shelter is necessary for all of us.
